India Targeted in Alleged Pakistani Cyberattack
India has reportedly become the latest victim of a large-scale cyberattack allegedly carried out by Pakistan. According to a report by Pakistan’s state-run media outlet PTV News, the official website of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was among the primary targets of the attack, which took place on Saturday, May 10.
The report claims that the cyberattack extended beyond the BJP, affecting several Indian government institutions, including the Border Security Force (BSF), the Crime Research Investigation Agency, and Metropolitan Telecommunication Company Limited.

PTV further alleged that sensitive data was leaked from key entities such as the Indian Air Force and the Maharashtra Election Commission. In addition, over 2,500 surveillance cameras were reportedly hacked during the breach.
Perhaps the most alarming claim made in the report is that the coordinated cyberattack disrupted up to 70% of India’s national power grid. However, this assertion has been firmly denied by Indian authorities in Delhi.
