Bangladesh’s famous sports journalist Deb Chowdhury officially recited the Kalema Shahadat and embraced Islam; three Fridays have passed, Alhamdulillah. He regularly comes to Jumu’ah with his friends. By keeping steadfast on his Deen as per his request, may Allah Ta’ala keep him steadfast in the path of guidance.
He has been advised to decline the name Abdullah Muhammad Chowdhury or Muhammad Chowdhury. At present, exertions are being made to teach regular prayers, recitation of the Quran, and the necessary issues of Islam’s pak-saaf. Alhamdulillah, before he came to formal Islam, he had been reading the Bangali translation of the Quran regularly. He said his ability to perceive is fabulous, Ma Sha Allah.
On this matter, Abdul Hi Muhammad Saifullah said, Many media, journalists, YouTubers, and also interested people have been informing me about this matter and asking various types of questions. First and foremost, Dev Chowdhury told me, I don’t want to express this matter at this moment (on the day of Shahadat).”. He also said, “I have made no formal announcement about it, respecting his wishes; that doesn’t mean ignoring or avoiding you all; it’s just respecting his desires. Afterward, Insha’Allah, whenever he informed us about this matter, he did not disagree. I will do a live about him on a “Journey to Islam” subject to his agreement”.
He again said, “I would request my dear brothers and sisters to gift the non-Muslims the Quran, not any other book, a pure Bengali translation of the Quran without even a single Arabic letter; let them read. Islamic Foundation and London Academy Pocket Size Quran are two unique. At least we can say to Allah that I have delivered your message”.
We wish him all the best. May Allah accept him as a worker of the procession to return to Satya Deen in the future. The procession of truth will fly, inshallah!
