Students Challenge Authorities
During the protest at Shahbagh, some BUET students directly questioned the authorities about their attitude and understanding of the university’s struggles.
One student sharply asked:
“বুয়েট বুঝেন? বুয়েট বানান করতে পারেন?”
Translation: “Do you understand BUET? Can you even spell BUET?”
This question reflected the frustration of students who feel ignored despite their repeated calls for fair treatment and recognition of their demands.

Another student reminded everyone about the difficulties they had faced just to enter BUET.
He said:
“দেশের সবচেয়ে কষ্টের পরীক্ষা দিয়ে আমরা এখানে আসছি।”
Translation: “We come here after passing the toughest exam in the country.”
Through this statement, students emphasized that their struggle is not only about jobs and recognition but also about the years of hard work and sacrifice that brought them to BUET.
