Transparent Vote Counting Initiative
The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have decided to show the vote counting of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall elections live. This step has been taken to ensure transparency and maintain trust in the election process.
Official Confirmation
On Sunday (7 September) at around 11:15 PM, a notice signed by Chief Returning Officer Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin confirmed this initiative.

The notice stated:
“ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কেন্দ্রীয় ছাত্র সংসদ (ডাকসু) ও হল সংসদ নির্বাচন ২০২৫-এর ভোট গণনা প্রতিটি ভোটকেন্দ্রের বাহিরে এলইডি স্ক্রিনের মাধ্যমে সরাসরি প্রদর্শন করা হবে।”
Translation: “The vote counting of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall elections 2025 will be displayed live on LED screens outside each polling centre.”
How It Will Work
According to the university authorities, LED screens will be installed outside all voting centers. As soon as votes are counted, the results will appear on these screens in real-time. This way, students, staff, and other interested parties can monitor the vote counting process directly.
Goal of the Initiative
The main goal of broadcasting the vote counting live is to ensure full transparency. By allowing everyone to see the results as they are counted, the university aims to build trust among students and avoid any doubts regarding the fairness of the elections.
