E-Sports Gains Official Recognition
Following the official recognition of E-Sports on 13 July 2025, the government has been taking continuous initiatives to develop the sector’s structure and ensure overall progress.

Stakeholders’ Meeting Held
As part of this effort, a consultative meeting with E-Sports stakeholders was held today, Tuesday, where Youth and Sports Adviser, Mr. Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, participated.
Discussions on Policy and Structure
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on:

Formulation of policies for E-Sports.

Formation of an E-Sports Association under the National Sports Council.

A comprehensive roadmap for the expansion and development of the E-Sports sector.
Regular Consultations Ahead
The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced that it will regularly organize such consultative and advisory meetings. Over time, all stakeholders will be involved in the discussions to ensure inclusive growth of the E-Sports industry in Bangladesh.
