Shahed Ali’s Strong View on Social Media Earnings
Popular Bangladeshi actor Shahed Ali has made a strong statement criticizing those who earn money through platforms like Facebook and TikTok. He said that such earnings are no different from begging.
Translation: “There is no difference between earning money from Facebook or TikTok and begging – I see no difference between them.”
Artists Should Focus on Real Acting
Shahed Ali believes that an actor’s main duty is to win the audience’s love through performing characters, not by making “reels” or “lives” online. He emphasized that the profession of acting should not lose its dignity to social media trends.
His Recent Works in Film and Theatre
The actor recently appeared in the movie Fereshta, which was released a few days ago. In an earlier interview with Samakal, he mentioned working on another new film but didn’t disclose details, saying that the production company would announce it soon.
He also has experience in stage performance and was last seen in Pracchonat’s popular stage play Agun Jatra.
Dedication to Art Over Money
According to Shahed Ali, real artists should value their craft more than money.
Translation: “I’m working in a new film… soon I’ll focus on promoting the upcoming releases.”
He added that the true respect for art and artists will be preserved only when they work out of passion and responsibility to art, not out of greed for money.
