No Grace Marks, Marks Will Depend Only on Merit
The minister also made it clear that there will be no opportunity for grace marks this year. Said,

CCTV Cameras and Live Monitoring at Exam Centres
To prevent cheating, CCTV cameras will be installed at high-risk exam centres. These centres will be monitored closely, and there are plans to gradually make CCTV mandatory at all centres. A live monitoring system will allow authorities to track activities in real time from a central control room. If any unusual activity is detected, immediate action will be taken.
Possibility of Helicopter Monitoring and Surprise Inspections
The minister said that, if necessary, the government may again conduct helicopter monitoring missions, as done in previous years, to inspect exam centres in remote areas. Officials from the ministry may also conduct surprise visits to any exam centre across the country.
Special Focus on Remote and Coastal Areas
The Education Ministry has taken an unprecedented strict stance to prevent cheating and irregularities in the upcoming SSC, HSC, and equivalent examinations. Special monitoring will be carried out in:
- remote regions
- char areas
- coastal zones
- and hill regions
Education boards have already been asked to submit lists of high-risk centres where extra security measures will be implemented.
Enhanced Security to Prevent Question Leaks
The ministry has strengthened security at every stage of question paper printing and distribution. The entire process is being brought under digital tracking, and strict restrictions have been placed on officials involved in the process.
SSC Exams to Begin on April 21
