Education Ministry Asks 50 Schools and 462 Students to Fix Grant Payment Details

Education Ministry

The Ministry of Education has asked 50 educational institutions and 462 students to update incorrect banking and mobile account details to ensure timely disbursement of government financial grants for FY 2024–25. A letter from the ministry, signed on 30 July, mentions that the final list of 7,100 grant beneficiaries was published on 17 June. However, many recipients could not receive funds due to incorrect bank details or missing KYC information on mobile numbers. All updates must be submitted by 7 August 2025.

The Ministry of Education has officially requested updated banking and mobile account information from 50 educational institutions and 462 students, after it was found that discrepancies in the provided details prevented successful disbursement of financial grants under the FY 2024–25 special allocation.

The directive was issued in a letter signed by Liyuza-ul-Jannah, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division. The letter stated that in the context of distributing grants to selected educational institutions, teachers, staff, and students for the fiscal year 2023–24, the final list of beneficiaries under the special grant allocation for FY 2024–25 was published on the division’s website on 17 June 2025.

  • Due to these errors, the grant funds could not be transferred to the designated bank accounts.
