The attack took place around 7:45 PM in front of the Jaynul Abedin Auditorium at the university campus. Several students, including female students, were reportedly injured during the clash. Currently, the campus remains tense and under alert.

Background: Academic Council Dispute

The incident is linked to dissatisfaction among students of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science regarding the decisions of an academic council meeting on the implementation of the Combined Degree program. During the meeting, students locked the Vice-Chancellor and all attending teachers inside the council room, leaving 227 teachers confined temporarily.
