The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has announced that the fire situation at the Cargo Village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka has been brought under complete control. This information was given in a notification signed by the Ministry’s Information and Public Relations Officer Tariqul Islam at 8:45 pm on Saturday.

Fire brought under control with quick action by the Fire Service and authorities

The notification said that a fire broke out at the airport’s Cargo Village at 2:15 pm on Saturday. The fire was brought under complete control with quick and coordinated action by the Fire Service and the airport authorities. No casualties were reported in the incident. Close coordination between the Fire Service and the airport authorities has ensured that the fire has been completely extinguished.

Flight operations resumed

The notification further informed that all flight operations will resume from 9 pm. The advisor to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism is personally at the airport and is closely monitoring the entire situation.
