Fire at Adams Caps & Textiles Ltd
A massive fire broke out this afternoon at Adams Caps & Textiles Ltd, a towel manufacturing factory located in the Chattogram Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room in Agrabad, the blaze started around 2:00pm on Thursday.

Firefighting Efforts Underway
By 3:30pm, a total of 14 units of the Fire Service were working at the site to extinguish the flames. The fire erupted at a factory situated on Road No. 5 of the Chattogram EPZ.
“আগুন নেভাতে আমরা একাধিক ইউনিট কাজ করছি,”
Translation: “Multiple fire service units are working to douse the fire.”
Officials said the fire was still being brought under control when the last report came in.
Cause Still Unknown
The Fire Service could not immediately confirm the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
Authorities said that an investigation would be conducted once the situation is under control.
“আগুনের কারণ এখনো নিশ্চিত নয়,”
Translation: “The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.”

Factory Management Unreachable
Attempts to contact Md. Shahidul Haque, the Managing Director of the factory, were unsuccessful. Several phone calls were made, but he could not be reached for comment.
Ongoing Situation
As of the latest update, firefighters were still working at the scene, and smoke could be seen rising from the factory area. No casualties have been reported yet.
Authorities said they are closely monitoring the situation to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby factories inside the EPZ.
