Oli Returns to Public View
Former Nepal PM, KP Sharma Oli, who was ousted less than a month ago, has reappeared in public. He said that although he handed over power to the interim government, he will not leave the country.
Question to Supporters
Speaking at an event organized by his party’s youth wing in Gundu on September 27, Oli questioned his supporters:
“Do you think we will hand over power to this baseless government and flee the country?”

Promise to Rebuild Nepal
Former Nepal PM inspired his party workers, declaring their vision for Nepal’s future:
“We will build this country. We will bring the nation back to the constitutional mainstream. We will return the country to peace and good governance.”
Saved by Army Support
About 18 days ago, Oli was saved from protests led by Generation Z (Gen-Z) with the support of the army. Since then, he had stayed away from the public but appeared for the first time yesterday.
Allegations Against the Interim Government
Oli accused the current interim government of not having people’s mandate. Instead, he said, they came to power through violence and destruction.
Rejection of Conspiracy Claims
He strongly rejected allegations that he was part of any conspiracy. He challenged Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki to disclose instructions she had given to the administration during the protests.
“The recordings of what instructions she gave to the administration during the movement should be made public.”
Passport Seizure Plans
Meanwhile, Sushila Karki’s government is preparing to seize the passports of Oli and several of his former ministers. Oli criticized this move, saying it would violate his rights.
