To make the Eid journey more comfortable for people returning home, the government has launched a trial free Wi-Fi service using Starlink on trains. This means passengers will now be able to use free internet even while traveling on moving trains.
The service started today on four nonstop intercity trains operated by Bangladesh Railway.

Four Trains Included in the Trial
The Free Starlink service is currently available on the following trains:

  • Sonar Bangla Express
  • Subarna Express
  • Cox’s Bazar Express
  • Parjotak Express

Passengers traveling on these trains can access the Starlink Wi-Fi internet service for free during their journey.
Plan to Expand the Service
According to Bangladesh Railway sources, the Free Starlink service has been launched on a trial basis. If the results are satisfactory, the government plans to gradually introduce Starlink Wi-Fi on more nonstop and high-demand intercity trains.
Officials hope that this initiative will make long train journeys more enjoyable and comfortable, especially during the busy Eid travel season.
