Israeli Navy Seizes 13 Ships
The Gaza-bound aid flotilla, known as the Global Sumud Flotilla, faced an Israeli blockade in international waters. Israeli forces boarded three ships – Alma, Adara, and Sirius – on Wednesday night, according to Middle East Eye.
Despite this, more than 40 other ships are continuing their journey towards Gaza with food, medicine, and humanitarian aid.

Emergency Declared on Flotilla Ships
According to Al Arabiya, the flotilla organizers have declared an emergency onboard their ships after Israeli intervention.
One of the organizers, Thiago Avila, accused Israel of carrying out a cyber-attack:
“At that time, all navigation and communication systems became non-functional.”
He described it as a deliberate attempt by Israeli military forces to disrupt the mission.

Rights Activists Face Harassment
Middle East Eye reported that after Israeli soldiers boarded the Adara, activists on the ship were seen throwing their mobile phones into the sea. It is not clear whether they did this voluntarily or were forced by the soldiers.
The official statement from the flotilla said:
“The mission’s ships are being detained illegally. Cameras are offline, and military personnel have boarded the ships.”
They also assured that they are working to ensure the safety of all participants.
Nearly 500 People Onboard
The Global Sumud Flotilla consists of civilian ships carrying nearly 500 participants from around the world. This includes members of parliament, lawyers, human rights activists, and Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Reports confirm that Greta was among those taken away by Israeli forces from one of the seized vessels.
