The government has decided to provide full support to the victims of the tragic military plane crash at Milestone School and College and honour two teachers who lost their lives in the accident.

One Minute Silence and Prayer Held in Meeting

At the beginning of the regular meeting of the Advisory Council, held at the Chief Adviser’s Office on Thursday morning, members observed one minute of silence in memory of the deceased.

A special prayer was also offered for the souls of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident.

Full Government Support for Victims and Their Families

The Advisory Council expressed deep sympathy to the families of those who died and decided to ensure full government assistance for the injured.

The Education Ministry will work in coordination with Milestone School authorities to arrange further action.

“আহতদের সুচিকিৎসা ও নিহতদের পরিবারের পাশে সরকার থাকবে।”
Translation:
“The government will stand by the families of the deceased and ensure proper treatment for the injured.”

National Honors for Two Teachers

In the meeting, it was also decided that two teachers who died in the crash will be awarded state honours. The type of recognition is yet to be finalized and will be announced soon.

Special Prayers Across All Religious Places

To pay respect to the victims and pray for the recovery of the injured, special prayer sessions will be held across religious institutions in the country tomorrow (Friday).

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has been given the responsibility to coordinate these programs.

One-Day State Mourning Declared

Earlier, the government declared Tuesday, July 22 as a day of national mourning following the deadly crash involving a training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force, which occurred at the campus of Milestone School in Uttara, Dhaka.

A press release from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing confirmed the announcement on Monday evening.
