Govt Moves to Cut Power Costs with 10% Renewable Energy by 2030

The government has introduced a new plan to lower the cost of electricity by getting rid of old power plants while emphasizing economical green energy sources. According to the Finance Ministry, the nation should use multiple energy sources while monitoring power facilities and expand renewable energy generation including wind and solar. Government officials aim to achieve renewable energy contributions reaching 10% by 2030. The government continues working to eliminate power price subsidies and establish electricity rates based on genuine energy production expenses and intends to eliminate all power sector subsidies before the year 2026 concludes.

The government will implement electricity price adjustments only after inflation falls below 6.5%. The plan works to reduce future power costs through affordable green energy sources which will strengthen long-term energy reliability. The future implementation of this plan will cut costs and establish a more efficient energy system in the country. The proposed plan will achieve lower electricity expenses with greater energy stability and minimize foreign fuel imports. It will establish economic stability while enhancing environmental cleanliness for an extended duration.
