Sattajit Chandra Bormon’s Journey from Dhaka’s Textile Halls to adidas Germany
Sattajit Chandra Bormon’s story is one of quiet determination and bold ambition. Starting out as a Textile Engineering student at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in Dhaka, he never imagined that one day he’d walk the halls of adidas headquarters in Germany – not as a visitor, but as Product Development Manager for (Sportswear & Kids).
His global journey took shape step by step. After graduating from AUST, Sattajit began his career in Bangladesh, working in quality assurance and merchandising roles at Epyllion Group and BEXTEX Ltd.- two respected names in the country’s booming RMG sector. But his dream stretched beyond borders.
Driven to learn more and do better, he moved to Germany and pursued his master’s degree at Hochschule Niederrhein, a university known for its strong focus on textiles. That academic experience gave him both a global perspective and a deeper understanding of product development in fashion.
Professionally, he gained early international experience at Khujo, a fashion brand based in Germany, where he gradually grew from an assistant to a full-time Product Developer.

His work focused on outerwear and kids’ fashion helped sharpen his eye for quality, function, and style. Then came his role at Tom Tailor, where he spent nearly four years refining his technical skills as a Senior Specialist in Product Development.
By May 2025, Sattajit had earned a place at adidas is one of the most recognized sportswear brands in the world. Working at their headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, he now plays a key role in shaping the products worn by millions.
Sattajit’s journey is not just about career milestones. It’s a reminder that with hard work, learning, and a bit of courage, someone from Dhaka’s textile labs can rise to the heart of the global fashion industry.
