Arrest in Connection with Hadi Murder
Police have arrested Himon, a close associate of motorcycle rider Alamgir, in connection with the murder of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi. The arrest was made as part of the ongoing investigation into the high-profile killing.
Himon is identified as a worker of Adabor Thana Jubo League.

Weapons and Explosives Recovered
During the operation, police recovered:
- One foreign-made pistol
- Three rounds of bullets
- A large quantity of explosives
The recovery was made based on information provided by Himon after his arrest.
How the Arrest Was Made
According to police, they received secret intelligence that Himon was staying at a residential hotel in the Adabor area. Acting on this information, a police team conducted a raid and arrested him.
Later, following his statements, police carried out another operation and recovered the weapons and explosives from a house in Adabor’s 17/B area, identified as Mehedi’s residence.
Police Confirmation
The matter was confirmed on Wednesday evening (24 December) by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Tejgaon Division’s Mohammadpur Zone, Md. Jewel Rana.
Police said Himon has given crucial information during preliminary questioning and is currently being interrogated further.
Links with Other Suspects
Police sources revealed that Himon has close connections with Faisal and Alamgir, both of whom are directly linked to the Hadi murder case.
It was also learned that Himon returned to Bangladesh from Dubai about two months ago.
