Winners announced in grand ceremony

Hafez Anas bin Atiq, the representative of Bangladesh, has made the country proud by securing third place in the 13th International Hifzul Quran Competition 2025 held in Benghazi, Libya. The winners were announced in a grand ceremony organized by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Libya on Sunday (September 28) night.

120 competitors from 75 countries of the world participated in this year’s competition. A total of 18 people were declared winners in the final round. Ministers, secretaries, high-ranking military officials and a large number of people were present at the ceremony.

Hafez Anas’ achievements and awards

Hafez Anas, nominated under the supervision of the International Qirat Organization Bangladesh, competed in the Full Quran Hifz category. In recognition of his extraordinary recitation, he received a prize of 50,000 Libyan dinars.

Maulana Qari Masudur Rahman, Central Joint Secretary General of the International Qirat Organization Bangladesh, was present as an observer in this competition.

Bangladesh’s continuous success after a long break

It is worth noting that this prestigious competition resumed in 2022 after a long hiatus of 11 years. Since then, Bangladesh has been achieving one success after another.

  • In 2022, Saleh Ahmed Takreem secured 7th place.
  • In 2023, Abu Talha secured 2nd place and received 200,000 dinars as a prize. In the same year, Mustafizur Rahman Gazi secured 6th place in the Tafsir category.
  • In 2024, Mahmudul Hasan secured success in the Tafsir category.
  • And in 2025, Hafez Anas Bin Atiq’s third place achievement has brought new glory to Bangladesh.
