In a recent incident, Hassnat Abdullah, the chief organizer (south region) of the National Citizen’s Party (NCP), was attacked in Gazipur’s Chandna Chaurasta area. During the attack, he was injured, with reports indicating that his hand was wounded.
The Gazipur Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident, though details remain limited at this stage. Officer in charge of Basan Police Station, Md. Shahin Khan, stated that authorities are investigating and trying to gather more information.

Statement from NCP North Region Organizer
According to Sargis Alam, the NCP’s chief organizer (north region), around 10-12 assailants were involved in the attack, which resulted in the damage of the vehicle’s windows. He also shared a message on social media, urging those nearby to ensure Hassnat Abdullah’s protection.
An anonymous police source mentioned that Hassnat Abdullah is now safe at the International University of Technology (IUT) in Board Bazar, Gazipur, where law enforcement officers are ensuring his safety.
