Heavy Security at Osman Hadi’s Janaza, 1,000 Body-Worn Cameras Deployed

Heavy Security for Hadi’s Janaza

To ensure security during the janaza of Shaheed Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha, police have deployed a large security force, including 1,000 body-worn cameras.

The information was confirmed on Saturday (20 December) morning by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman from the Media and Public Relations Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

Police Official Confirms Security Measures

A senior police official said that adequate preparations have been made to maintain law and order during the janaza.

No direct quote was provided beyond the official confirmation of security deployment.

Janaza Time and Venue

The janaza prayer of Osman Hadi will be held today (Saturday) at 2:00 PM at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building.

Osman Hadi died on Thursday (18 December) at around 9:30 PM while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital.

Shot in Dhaka After Election Schedule Announcement

One day after the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum was announced, Osman Hadi was shot in the head by assailants on 12 December afternoon.

The shooting took place at Box Culvert Road in Old Paltan, Dhaka.

He was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later shifted to Evercare Hospital.

As his condition worsened, he was flown to Singapore by air ambulance on 15 December for advanced treatment.

His body was brought back to Bangladesh on Friday evening.

Burial After Janaza

After the janaza at the Parliament’s South Plaza, Osman Hadi will be buried at Dhaka University, beside the grave of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
