Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) has been detected in the body of a person in the country. Dr. Ahmed Nowsher Alam, head of the virology department of the government’s Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), confirmed the information.
He said that along with the HMPV virus, another bacterium has been detected in the body of a person. Details on this will be announced later.
