Strike on a High-Level Houthi Meeting
Reports say that another airstrike separately targeted a secret high-level meeting of Houthi leaders outside the city. The meeting included at least 10 ministers, including the Houthi Defense Minister. Rebel leader Abdul Malik Al-Houthi was also expected to deliver a speech at the meeting. However, details about the casualties from this strike remain unclear.
So far, the exact number of people killed or injured in the airstrikes has not been confirmed. Local sources suggest that the attacks were carefully planned to strike at the core of the Houthi leadership.
Rahavi’s Role and Position
According to Israel’s Kan Channel, Rahavi had been serving as the Prime Minister of the Houthi administration for about one year. However, his government was never internationally recognized.
Close Ties with Iran and Hezbollah
Reports from N12 News highlighted that Rahavi was a close ally of Iran and Hezbollah. He had given direct approval for several operations against Israel, making him a high-priority target for the Israeli military.
