A man named Meraj from Lodhsa village in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district has shocked local officials by claiming that his wife turns into snake at night and tries to bite him. He filed a written complaint with the district administration, asking for protection.

Husband’s Allegations
During a local public hearing day, Meraj appeared before the District Magistrate and said,
“স্যার, আমার স্ত্রী নাসিমুন রাতে সাপে পরিণত হয় ও আমাকে কামড়ানোর জন্য ধাওয়া করে।”
Translation: Sir, my wife Nasimun turns into a snake at night and chases me to bite.
He further alleged that his wife had tried to kill him multiple times, but he survived each attempt after waking up suddenly.
Social Media Reactions
The story quickly went viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Many users reacted humorously, making jokes about the bizarre claim.

One user wrote,

Authorities Order Investigation
Despite the absurd nature of the complaint, the District Magistrate has taken it seriously and ordered an investigation. The Mahmudabad sub-divisional magistrate and local police have been instructed to look into the matter and verify Meraj’s claims.
