Sarjis Alam

Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the National Citizens Party (NCP) North, has alleged that a defamation case of Tk 10 crore was filed against him for protesting against injustice. He made this allegation at the youth conference organized by the National Youth Power at Krishibid Institution on August 12. Sarjis Alam said that he did not speak against any political party, but the media can spread wrong messages. He called for the plaintiff’s record in the case to be released. Earlier, BNP leader Tanvir Siraj filed a defamation case against him in Gazipur on charges of spreading false propaganda implicating BNP in the murder of journalist Tuhin, which the court took into consideration and ordered the CID to investigate.

Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the National Citizens Party (NCP) North, has alleged that whenever he protests against injustice in the country, a defamation case worth Tk 10 crore is filed against him. He made the allegation while attending a youth conference organized by the National Youth Power at the Krishibid Institution in the capital on Tuesday (August 12) evening.

Sarjis Alam said,

He again said,

He claimed that he did not say anything aimed at any political party. However, the media may revert to its pre-August 5 form and spread false messages. In his words,

Translation: The media can show the pre-August 5th form at any time. The media has arranged a meeting with the person who is in Washington DC. We will not remain calm by looking at the name of the channel. We will see who the owner is.

Sarjis Alam called for the person who filed the defamation case to be released. He warned,
