BNP’s candidate for Kishoreganj-4, Fazlur Rahman, delivered a strong message to voters on Friday afternoon. Speaking as the chief guest at a workers’ conference organized by BNP and its allied organizations in Mirga Union, Itna Upazila, he stated:
“জামায়াতকে ভোট দিলে আমার মৃতদেহই পাবেন।”
Translation: “If you vote for Jamaat, you’ll get my dead body.”

Title and Stand Against Jamaat
Fazlur Rahman said he earned the nickname “Faza Pagla” for his fearless stance. Said,
“যারা আমাকে এই টাইটেল দিয়েছে তারা স্বাধীনতাবিরোধী, মুক্তিযুদ্ধবিরোধী জামায়াত। তাদেরকে যদি ভোট দেন, তাহলে আমার মৃতদেহ পাবেন। তাদেরকে ভোট দেবেন আপনারা? দিবেন?”
Translation: “Those who gave me this title are anti-independence, anti-liberation Jamaat. If you vote for them, you’ll get my dead body. Will you vote for them? Will you?”
On Historical Misrepresentation
He also expressed frustration over false narratives about Bangladesh’s Liberation War. He said,
“কোনো মুক্তিযুদ্ধ হয় নাই। তিন দিন আমি অপেক্ষা করলাম, আমার নাম ফজলুর রহমান। আমি সাধারণ মানুষের ছেলে। কিন্তু যারা যুদ্ধ করে এই বাংলাদেশ স্বাধীন করেছে আমি তাদের মধ্যে অন্যতম বন্ধুরা।”
Translation: “They claimed there was no Liberation War. I waited for three days. My name is Fazlur Rahman. I am a son of ordinary people. But I am a friend of those who fought for Bangladesh’s independence.”
