Indian journalist Mayukh Ranjan from Republic Bangla has said that India’s biggest fear is Bangladesh turning into another East Pakistan. He stated that if Bangladesh can truly become free from Razakars and religious extremists, India will extend friendship again. He posted these remarks on Facebook on August 5 night, where he also praised Dhaka University students for their protest actions.
Praise for Dhaka University Students
Mayukh Ranjan appreciated the role of Dhaka University students in a recent exhibition against Razakars and Jamaat leaders.
His post said:
Translation:
“Bravo Dhaka University! For pulling down the photos of Jamaat leaders, Razakars, and those who tried to bring back East Pakistan from the exhibition on August 5.”

India’s Biggest Fear: Another East Pakistan
Mayukh warned that if Bangladesh turns into another East Pakistan, it will not only harm itself but also create regional instability.
He wrote:
Translation:
“India’s biggest fear is that the new Bangladesh might become East Pakistan again.”
India Will Support a Razakar-Free Bangladesh
Mayukh expressed that if Bangladesh successfully removes Razakars and extremists, India’s people will support it with open arms.
He stated:
Translation:
“If these brave boys and girls can truly build a Razakar-free Bangladesh… then 1.4 billion Indians will support their old friend with open arms.”
Fear of Global Terrorism If Extremism Grows
He warned that if extremist groups are allowed to grow in Bangladesh, it could become a safe haven for global terror networks.
Translation:
“If Bangladesh becomes the headquarters for Razakars, extremists, and Jamaatis, global terrorist groups will use it.”
