Tough Warning to Pakistan
Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, saying that the country’s existence on the map is at risk if it continues to support terrorism. Speaking at a military base in Anupgarh, Rajasthan, he said:
Translation: “If Islamabad does not stop exporting terrorism, then a second version of Operation Sindur is not far away. This time the Indian forces will show no mercy.”
He added that if Pakistan wants to retain its geographical position, it must immediately end state-backed terrorism.

Preparing the Troops
General Dwivedi also urged Indian soldiers to stay prepared:
Translation: “If it is God’s will, you will soon get an opportunity. Best wishes.”
Earlier, Air Chief AP Singh mentioned that during May’s Operation Sindur, Indian forces destroyed four to five Pakistani warplanes, including F-16s and JF-17s, while targeting terrorist strongholds.

Operation Sindur: Past Success
General Dwivedi highlighted that Operation Sindur focused on eliminating terrorist camps, training centres, and masterminds while avoiding civilian casualties:
Translation: “The evidence of terrorist camps destroyed during Operation Sindur has been presented to the world. Had we not done this, Pakistan would have hidden the truth.”
Three officers were honored for their contributions during the operation: BSF 140th Battalion Commandant Prabhakar Singh, Rajputana Rifles Major Ritesh Kumar, and Havildar Mohit Gaira.
Background of India-Pakistan Tensions
The current escalation began after the Pehelgam attack in Indian-administered Kashmir on April 22, which killed 25 tourists and one guide. India blamed Pakistan for the attack. In May, Operation Sindur targeted terrorist camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Following the operation, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between the nuclear-armed neighbors on May 10, temporarily halting hostilities.
