In a dramatic show of military reach, Israel strikes a fuel-supplying aircraft at Iran’s Mashhad Airport, located in the southeastern region of the country, from a staggering distance of 2,300 kilometers. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the operation, according to a report by The Times of Israel.

The IDF stated that this marks Israel’s longest-range military operation since the beginning of its current campaign against Iran. It also emphasized that the Israeli Air Force is actively working to establish air dominance across Iranian airspace.

Following the Israel strikes, multiple videos circulated online showing large fireballs engulfing parts of Mashhad Airport. The explosion’s intensity reportedly shook surrounding areas, sparking fear and chaos among civilians nearby.

Experts say this could be the most distant Israel strikes mission ever executed by the Israeli Air Force. Previously, in 1985, Israel had launched an airstrike on the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) headquarters in Tunisia, situated more than 2,000 kilometers away.

This latest escalation is expected to deepen regional tensions. Though Iran has not issued an official response yet, it is widely anticipated that some form of retaliation may follow.

Security analysts worldwide warn that the Israel strikes on Iranian soil may have far-reaching consequences are not only worsening Israel-Iran relations but also threatening to destabilize the wider Middle Eastern geopolitical balance.
