Janata Bank Officials Demand Promotions Through Supernumerary System

Officials of Janata Bank have called for promotions through the supernumerary system. This morning (Thursday), they formed a human chain at the bank’s headquarters to demand action.

The officials pointed out that unlike state-owned Sonali, Rupali, and Agrani Banks, which have promoted staff in a certain way, Janata Bank has not followed the same procedure. They are urging for quick promotions.
They also warned that if they don’t get promoted soon, they will take further action.
Earlier this week, around 2,200 officials of Sonali Bank were promoted to various positions, including Assistant General Manager, Senior Principal Officer, Principal Officer, Senior Officer, and Officer. In response to this, Janata Bank officials have now raised their demand for promotions.
