The Dhaka district administration is starting ‘Jonotar Bazar’ in February to help reduce the impact of rising prices by offering essential goods at fair prices. The first market would be opened in Mohammadpur area, the other six in different areas of Dhaka. These regions will have markets that offer food such as fish, meat, vegetables, milk and eggs for investment-fixed, affordable prices. The markets will be run by local entrepreneurs, students and unemployed youth giving them job opportunities. Prices will remain stable and quality high — thanks to the government.
The main aim is to make essential goods more affordable for people, especially those with lower incomes. By buying directly from farmers, the prices will stay low. You can also check the prices and stock online. Extra items will be available during Ramadan to meet the higher demand.
The Jonotar Bazar project hopes to make life easier for people by providing affordable products and helping the community.
