Axiom Youth Society, a youth organization who organized  the art and photography competition titled “July Chitrokotha – Feel it. Paint it. Capture it” (“জুলাই চিত্রকথা”), showcased the creativity of young artists and photographers from different parts of the country from July 10 to August 8. 420-480 participants in four categories expressed their talents. The competition and exhibition were successfully completed with the help of designated judges and campus ambassadors. The organizers have expressed their determination to continue such initiatives next year as well. Axiom Youth Society has been carrying out multifaceted humanitarian activities for the underprivileged people of the country for six years.

The art and photography competition titled “July Chitrokotha – Feel it. Paint it. Capture it” (“জুলাই চিত্রকথা”) organized by Axiom Youth Society has made this July a memorable and unique. The competition, which ran from July 10 to August 8, saw young artists and photographers from different parts of the country showcase their impeccable talents.

The competition is held in four main categories:

  • Painting
  • Sketch
  • Smartphone Photography
  • Digital Camera Photography

They selected the best works in each category, with 25 in smartphone photography, 25 in painting, 10 in digital camera photography, and 15 in sketching being selected as finalists. In the second phase, first, second, and third place winners were determined from each category; however, only the first place winner in the sketching category was selected.

Painting:

  • 1st: Afiyah Zahin Shohana
  • 2nd: Shayra Tasnim
  • 3rd: Robiyah Nusrat Joti

DSLR Photography:

  • 1st: Seemant Ahmed
  • 2nd: Lamia Islam
  • 3rd: Md. Shakib Khan

Smartphone Photography:

  • 1st: Juhayef Rahman
  • 2nd: Mehedi Hasan Jisan
  • 3rd: Saifullah Mahmud Shawon

Sketch:

  • 1st: Rafsun Khan

60 campus ambassadors from various institutions across the country were instrumental in the successful organization of the competition. Among them, Dipannita Qadir and Fahima Afrin Anubha were selected as the best campus ambassadors.

Who was present as Judges

The judge for the Art category was Tanvir Malek who is an artist from Kaler Kantho, and the judge for the Photography category was Shafiuzzaman Adar, Creative Director of AB Studio.

An exhibition of the best selected artworks and photographs from the competition was held on August 8 at Riddhi Gallery in Mirpur 11, which came with a crowd of visitors. In this exhibition, the memories of liberation and the story of struggle are revealed from the perspective of the younger generation, which is a matter of special pride for the organizers.

According to the Axiom Youth Society, the main purpose of this event was to remember the memories of July through art and photography exhibitions and to create opportunities for the younger generation to showcase their talents. The organizers believe that such initiatives not only help develop art and culture but also play an important role in making history and patriotism more lively and meaningful for the new generation.

Axiom Youth Society: An organization unwinking in six years of humanitarian service

With the motto ‘United We Serve’ in mind, Axiom Youth Society has been working tirelessly for the past six years to stand by the helpless and underprivileged people of the country. The organization is a non-profit social organization, whose scope of activities is spread across different sections of the society.

In the past six years, the organization has carried out several activities including special programs for children in orphanages and madrasas, distribution of winter clothes, distribution of food and gifts on the occasion of Ramadan and Eid, reconstruction of flood-damaged houses, skill development programs for youth, and social awareness campaigns.

Through each activity, Axiom Youth Society is working to bring positive changes in the society and is determined to further advance human service in the future.
