Usually there are four Jummahs or Fridays in a month. However, due to the variation in the calendar, sometimes five Jummahs are also available. Such an event is seen as a special blessing for Muslims. Especially when 5 Jummahs are available in the month of Ramadan, it adds extra importance and joy to the religious atmosphere. After three years, Muslims in several countries around the world, including Bangladesh, have once again received 5 Jummahs in one Ramadan, which is good news for devout Muslims.

Repeat of 2023

The last 2023 Ramadan also had 5 Jummahs. That year, the first day of fasting was a Friday, which created an opportunity to read five Fridays throughout the month. The last Jummah of that year was Jummah al-Bida, and Eid was celebrated on Sunday.

A similar situation has arisen in this year’s Ramadan, which has brought back memories of that year.

Schedule of Fridays for this year’s Ramadan

A total of five Fridays have been read in this year’s Ramadan. They are—

Moon not sighted, 30th Ramadan is completing

Meanwhile, the moon was not sighted anywhere in the sky of the country. As a result, the month of Ramadan is completing 30 days. As a result, Muslims are preparing to celebrate Eid the next day after completing the fast.

Eid celebration Saturday

As the moon was not sighted, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated across the country next Saturday as decided. After a long month of fasting, this festival brings a message of joy, harmony and self-purification to the lives of Muslims.
