Kailash Kher, a popular Indian singer, recently went viral for a podcast he recorded two months ago. In the podcast, he claimed that computers run on “Ram” because the term RAM (Random Access Memory) sounds like the name of the Hindu deity Lord Ram.
Statement on Data and God
Kailash Kher further said that the abundance of data and information today is essentially linked to the word Datar (দাতা), meaning ‘giver’ or God.
“কম্পিউটার রাম (অবতার রাম) ছাড়া চলতে পারে না, আর পৃথিবী চলে দাতার (দানকারী) মাধ্যমে।”
Translation: “A computer cannot run without Ram (Lord Ram), and the world functions through Datar (the giver).”

Past Presentations and Criticism
