Local Awami League leaders and activists have blocked the road at Wapdarhat in Kotalipara on the Barisal-Gopalganj highway in Gopalganj, protesting against the National Citizen Party’s (NCP) march.
They started blocking the road by felling trees from Wednesday (July 16) morning, stopping all traffic.

After August 5, today is the first time such a large number of activists have taken to the streets. Since 11 am, no vehicles have been able to move on the Gournadi-Poysarhat-Kotalipara-Gopalganj road in Barisal.
