Manipulation in share trading, Shakib-Hiru fined

Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan and his business associate Abul Khair Hiru have been fined for allegedly manipulating the stock market. Shakib is currently in India with the national cricket team. He got this bad news while sitting there.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) announced the fine of Shakib-Hiru in a press release on Tuesday (September 24).

This decision was taken in the 923rd commission meeting held under the chairmanship of BSEC chairman Khandkar Rashed Maksud.

Later it was informed by notification, as a result of breaking the securities law by manipulating the shares of Paramount Insurance. 25 (twenty five) lakhs to Abul Khair Hiroo, 50 (fifty) lakhs to Saqib Al Hasal, 75 (seventy five) lakhs to Eshal Communication Limited, 1 (one) lakh to Monarch Mart Limited, 10 (ten) lakhs to Abul Kalam Matbar. ) Lakh Taka, 1 (one) Lakh Taka to Lava Electrodes Industries Limited and Md. Zaheed Kamal was fined 1 (one) lakh.
