The Dhaka Metro Rail will remain closed on Eid-ul-Fitr day as announced by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) on March 29 via their official Facebook page. However, services will resume on the following day with the regular schedule, replacing the Ramadan timetable.
A visit to the metro stations revealed that the previous heavy rush of passengers had significantly decreased. Almost every coach had available seating, allowing passengers to travel comfortably. Ticket counters also saw less crowding, making the travel experience more convenient.

The Eid-ul-Fitr holiday officially began two days ago, and several hundred thousand people have already left Dhaka. As a result, the number of metro passengers has dropped significantly. There are no long queues at ticket counters, and trains are operating with fewer passengers.
According to DMTCL authorities, like last year, Metro Rail services will remain suspended on Eid day. However, from the day after Eid, operations will resume following the regular schedule, and the Ramadan timetable will no longer be in effect.
