Milestone Tragedy deepens as 14-year-old student Sahil Farabi Ayan dies from injuries after the fighter jet crash in Uttara. Death toll rises amid national mourning.

Sahil Farabi Ayan, a 14-year-old student of Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka, has died from injuries sustained in the tragic fighter jet crash that struck the school earlier this month.

He was undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, where he passed away in the early hours of Sunday night (July 27), around 1:45 AM while on life support.

Dr. Shawon Bin Rahman, a resident surgeon at the institute, confirmed the death and stated that Ayan had sustained burns over 40 percent of his body. He had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where doctors had been battling to save his life.

Sahil was a student of Class 7 (English version) at Milestone School and College. With his passing, the official death toll from this horrific incident at the National Burn Institute has risen to 18. Additionally, one more victim passed away while receiving treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Burn Unit.

This heartbreaking tragedy continues to unfold, leaving families, classmates, and the entire nation in mourning.
