Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha, the twin brother of July uprising martyr Mir Mugdho, has officially joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The announcement was made on Tuesday night (November 4) through a post by the party’s Media Cell.

According to the post, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman was virtually connected during the event, marking Mir Snigdha’s formal entry into the party.

The BNP Media Cell confirmed the news, stating:
“জুলাই গণঅভ্যুত্থানে শহীদ মীর মুগ্ধের যমজ ভাই মীর মাহবুবুর রহমান স্নিগ্ধ বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী দল বিএনপি-তে যোগদান করেছেন।”
Translation: Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha, twin brother of July uprising martyr Mir Mugdho, has joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP.

Mir Snigdha comes from a family that gained national attention during the July uprising. His brother Mir Mugdho was martyred during the movement, which played a significant role in shaping the current political landscape of Bangladesh.
