BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has asked the Chief Adviser for the roadmap for the national elections. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said this in response to journalists’ questions after the dialogue at Rashtriya Bhavan Jamuna.
Saturday (October 5) at around 4 pm in the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna Chief Advisor Dr. The delegation of BNP sat in the dialogue at the invitation of Muhammad Yunus. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, member of the standing committee of the party was in this delegation of six members. Moin Khan, Dr. Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan and Salauddin Ahmed.
Mirza Fakhrul said that there was a discussion about the election. We have highlighted the reforms of the Election Commission and the reforms of the electoral system. We have also given our opinion. We have said that the election commission should be suspended and the election commission should be formed immediately based on the consensus of the main political parties. And we asked to give a roadmap. We have asked the Election Commission to provide a roadmap regarding when the elections will be held.
In response to another question, he said, I don’t talk about months and days. As he told us, election is our main importance.
Before this, on August 29, the delegation of BNP held a meeting with the chief advisor of the interim government on the contemporary issues of the country.
In addition, Dr. A five-member delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami will participate in the meeting with the Chief Advisory Council of the interim government headed by Muhammad Yunus. At around 5 pm, a delegation of 6 members will join the dialogue under the leadership of Amir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim Pir Saheb Charmonai, the Islamic Movement of Bangladesh. After that at 5:30 pm the dialogue of AB Party delegation will be held with the Chief Advisor.
