Moon of Dhul Hajjah Seen in Saudi Arabia

The moon marking the beginning of the Islamic month Dhul Hajjah has been seen in Saudi Arabia. According to the moon sighting, Dhul Hajjah will start on 28th May in the country.

Eid al-Adha Will Be Celebrated on 6th June
Since Dhul Hajjah begins on May 28th, Friday, June 6th, 2025, will be the tenth day of Dhul Hajjah, which is also the day of Eid al-Adha. This indicates that the holy holiday of Eid al-Adha will be observed in Saudi Arabia on that day.

Hajj Will Take Place on 5th June

The primary day of the Hajj, or the Day of Arafah, falls on the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah. To carry out the most significant Hajj pilgrimage rites, pilgrims assemble on the Arafat plains on this day. Therefore, Hajj will be observed in Saudi Arabia on 5th June 2025.

Gulf News Confirms the Report

This information was confirmed in a report by Gulf News, a news organization based in Dubai. They reported that the moon was seen in the Middle East, which confirms the start of Dhul Hijjah on 28th May. As a result, both Hajj and Eid celebrations will follow this calendar.

When Will Eid al-Adha Be in Bangladesh?

In Bangladesh, the date for Eid al-Adha is not confirmed yet. The exact date depends on whether the moon of Dhul Hajjah is seen on Wednesday, 28th May in the country.

The National Moon Sighting Committee of Bangladesh has called a meeting on that day to review moon sighting news and determine the start of Dhul Hajjah.

Depending on whether the moon is seen, Eid al-Adha in Bangladesh will likely be on either 7th or 8th June.
