In the context of the recent earthquake and various natural disasters, a special voluntary prayer and supplication mahfil is going to be held in Dhaka to seek special mercy and protection from Allah. This religious program organized by Dhaka University will be held on Sunday (November 24) at 10:30 am, at the university’s Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall grounds.
Call for participation of all religious students and teachers
The organizers said that due to the recent earthquakes in different parts of the country, anxiety and fear have been created among students. In this situation, the mahfil has been organized with the aim of praying together to seek refuge from Allah. All religious students, teachers and concerned persons of the university have been requested to participate spontaneously.

Organizers’ statement: Increasing spiritual awareness is our goal
One of the organizers, Rayadul Islam Jubah, a student, Dhaka University, said,
প্রাকৃতিক বিপর্যয়ের মুহূর্তগুলো মানুষকে অসহায় করে দেয়। এ সময়ে আমরা আল্লাহর কাছে নিরাপত্তা কামনা করি। শিক্ষার্থীদের মাঝে আধ্যাত্মিক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি এবং সামষ্টিক দোয়ার মাধ্যমে কল্যাণ কামনাই আমাদের মূল উদ্দেশ্য।
Translation: “Moments of natural disasters make people helpless. At this time, we seek safety from Allah. Our main objective is to increase spiritual awareness among students and seek welfare through collective prayers.”
Prayers for the well-being of the country and nation after voluntary prayers
The organizing committee has announced that special prayers will be held for the overall well-being of the country, nation and humanity after performing voluntary prayers at the end of the event.
