On June 2, 2025, Bangladesh’s Economic Advisor, Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, will deliver the country’s fiscal year 2025–2026 budget. On the same day, at 4:00 PM, the budget address will be live-streamed and recorded.
Where to Watch and Listen
The recorded budget speech will be shown on Bangladesh Television (BTV) and will also be broadcast on Bangladesh Betar (Radio Bangladesh). This will allow people across the country to watch and listen to the budget details at the same time.
Request to Private Media Channels
The Directorate of Information has requested all private television channels and radio stations to take the feed from Bangladesh Television. This way, they can broadcast the national budget speech simultaneously with the government channels.

Historical Note on Budget Announcement
It is important to remember that the last time the budget was announced outside the Parliament was in the fiscal year 2008-09. At that time, the country was governed by a military-backed caretaker government.
The national budget for the fiscal year 2025–2026 will be presented on June 2, 2025, by Bangladesh’s Economic Advisor, Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed. The budget address will be filmed and shown live that same day at 4:00 PM.
