It has been made clear by the National Citizens’ Committee that there has been no consideration of creating a political party called “Janashakti.” The public has been advised by the committee to avoid sharing or accepting false information.
In a press release issued on Saturday (December 21) afternoon, signed by spokesperson Samanta Sharmin, the committee stated, “It has come to our attention that some media outlets and social media platforms are reporting that the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens’ Committee are planning to launch a political party named ‘Janashakti.’ This has caused unnecessary confusion.”
The statement marked up, “We would like to be clear that our organisation has not debated or settled on such a name. We urge everyone not to fall for such false statements.
