Experience of Mute actor Mir Lokman
Mute actor Mir Lokman, a former student of Dhaka University and the founding president of Mime Action organization, shared his experience with Ripon Mia on his Facebook. He said that during the Corona pandemic in 2020, he brought Ripon to Dhaka at his own expense and taught him mime.
Seeing his news on Prothom Alo, Dhaka University teacher Dr. Mumit Al Rashid Sir called me and said,
‘লোকমান, গেছে, সব গেছে। এর মতো লোকরে নিয়ে শেষ পর্যন্ত সর্বোচ্চ মিডিয়ারও এমন বিরাট আয়োজন!’
Translation: “Lokman, it’s gone, it’s all gone. In the end, even the highest media has such a big arrangement for people like this!”
Then he started, to be honest, I have rarely seen such a person (Ripon). During the Corona period around 2020, Ripon Mia was actually not that worthy. After seeing his simple and easy-going manner on Facebook, I contacted him and brought him to Dhaka. He stayed at my house. I also paid for all his expenses, including his travel. He was given the opportunity to take classes with other students in my mime class. The aim was that his sudden online recognition would be used positively by mainstream people. And that the boy who did not know how to study would truly understand, so that he could blend in with the workings of the urban media, since he wanted to.
He attended classes on my floor in Hatirpool for two days. On the third day, he came to the TSC of Dhaka University. Everyone, including the rest of the class students, were shooting a group video using their own capacity. The rest of the boys and girls were showing him around the campus.
After a few days of classes, he went to his house. From then on, his heinous activities started. Using the pictures of our girls together, he started writing on Facebook,
‘আমার গার্লফ্রেন্ড, আমি এম রোকেয়া হল, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মেয়েরা আমার পিছে পিছে ঘুরে কিন্তু আমি পাত্তা দিই না।’
Translation: My girlfriend, I am M Rokeya Hall, the girls of Dhaka University are following me but I don’t care.’
Since then, he hasn’t answered my phone calls. Instead, he’s been posting even more nasty posts using a girl’s picture.
I was forced to take help from Mumit sir. He scolded me a lot, not understanding why I brought him. Then, with the help of the Mymensingh Prothom Alo representative, he was called to the police station. The police forced him to delete all the posts, and at the same time, all the pictures of our girls were deleted from his mobile. He was detained at the police station all day and released in the evening. After a week, his mobile was returned from the police station.
Many big YouTubers have used him, as I have seen. He has become a viral boy to a great extent. I saw that Ripon has been made a great man for a few days, for all his clever words. For the last two days, I have seen something contrary being written about him, that too in the media. He does not see his parents, denies his wife and children.
