M Mostafa Shazzad, a certified forensic accountant, chartered accountant, and corporate legal expert, has recently joined the board of directors and has been appointed as chairman of the audit committee of Prime Bank PLC as an independent director.
Shazzad Hasan possesses a wealth of expertise in accounting, finance, financial fraud investigations, business dispute settlements, anti-money laundering, taxation, and corporate legal affairs. He finished his diploma in forensic accounting from Bentwood College, UK, and he also finished his PhD in forensic accounting and financial fraud prevention from Putra Business School, University Putra Malaysia (UPM). The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), and he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Certified Public Accountants Institute of Ireland. Furthermore, he is a Certified Professional Forensic Accountant (CPFAcct) and a Fellow Member of The Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants (ICFA), USA.
Dr. Shazzad Hasan is expected to provide the necessary tools to improve corporate governance, financial integrity, and fraud risk management with all his immense experience and expertise at Prime Bank PLC.
