Meghalaya Police has claimed that the news of the arrest of two people for helping those involved in the murder of Sharif Osman Hadi to stay in India is fake and untrue. A source in the Meghalaya Police confirmed the matter to The Daily Campus on Sunday (December 28).
The police of the state bordering Bangladesh said,
Translation : “No one has been arrested so far for helping those involved in the murder of Osman Hadi. The Bangladesh Police has also not made any official contact with us. Such information that is being spread in the Bangladeshi media is not true.”

According to them, there is no information that the two people whose names are being mentioned in the media – Faisal Karim Masud and Alamgir Sheikh – have taken refuge in India. Therefore, there is no question of their helping and arresting anyone for that reason.
Earlier today at 11 am, Additional Police Commissioner of Crime and Operations Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) S. N. Md. Nazrul Islam said that the killing of Inqilab Manch leader Shahid Sharif Osman Hadi was pre-planned. As a result, the accused were able to cross the border before they were identified. Local police have arrested two Indians who assisted them in the incident.
