Popular folk singer Kudddus Boyati has expressed his fear about the current political and law-and-order situation in Bangladesh. He warned that if the ongoing violence and political unrest do not stop, the country could face a very dangerous condition by next February.
Facebook Post Goes Viral
On Sunday (31 August), Kudddus Boyati wrote on his verified Facebook page:
“মারামারি, কাটাকাটি দেখে মনে হচ্ছে, ফেব্রুয়ারি আসতে আসতে দেশের ছাল–চামড়া কিছুই থাকবে না।”
Translation: “Seeing all this fighting and violence, it feels like by February nothing will be left of the country’s skin and flesh.”
His strong statement quickly spread across social media and became a topic of discussion.

Prominent journalist and analyst Ameen Al Rashid shared Kudddus Boyati’s post and commented:
“কুদ্দুস বয়াতি যতটুকু রাজনীতি বোঝেন বা সচেতন, আমাদের তথাকথিত রাজনীতিবিদ ও রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষকদের অনেকেই সেটা বোঝেন না। বরং বোতল থেকে বের হয়ে দৈত্যরা বলছে, এইবার মজা দেখো!”
