In response to a recent Qur’an desecration incident at North South University (NSU), students organized a Free Holy Qur’an Distribution Program on October 7, 2025. The event began at 11:00 AM and continued until 2:00 PM, at NSU Gate 8.
Through this initiative, approximately 850 NSU Students received copies of the Holy Qur’an, aiming to spread awareness, respect, and understanding of its teachings.

Promoting Respect and Unity
Organizers said the purpose of the event was to promote respect for all religions and to respond peacefully to the unfortunate incident that had earlier taken place on campus.
Organizer shared in a public announcement:
“Alhamdulillah, through this initiative, around 850 students received a copy of the Holy Qur’an. We are grateful for the overwhelming response and support.”
They further added that no further distribution events are planned for now.

University’s Response
NSU authorities have expressed appreciation for the students’ peaceful and respectful response. They also urged everyone to maintain religious harmony, mutual respect, and discipline within the university environment.
This initiative stands as a strong example of how peaceful student actions can help foster unity, understanding, and tolerance in educational spaces.
