Olympic Industries is the largest manufacturer, distributor and marketer of biscuits in Bangladesh. Olympic Industries recorded a 15.89% increase in income during the first half of this fiscal year over the same period last year. Its half-yearly financials showed a 0.93% increase in earnings, to Tk116.31 crore. At Tk5.82, its earnings per share (EPS) were recorded. The biscuit manufacturer said that its revenue grew by 15.89% during that time, primarily as a result of the management’s successful efforts to expand sales.
Its report states that in the first half of FY25, its operating expenses (administrative and selling expenses) rose by 34.38% to Tk239.95 crore. Its revenue increased from Tk1,285 crore in the first half of the previous fiscal year to Tk1,490 crore during the July–December period. However, its sales increased by 12.90% to Tk736.67 crore in the second quarter, which took place between October and December, and its profit after tax increased by 1.23% to Tk59.83 crore.
